Citizens have a right to know that corporations will be held accountable \u2014 and not granted immunity \u2014 for failing to safeguard personal information adequately. The Administration is committed to working with all stakeholders to find a workable solution to this challenge.&#8221; Ars has a few more details, the EFF urges U.S. citizens to oppose the bill, and one of the sponsors tweeted that those opposed to the bill are basement dwelling fourteen year olds.
